DigiBoost Training in Lithuania: Resourcefulness in Rural Entrepreneurship

The second DigiBoost training day in Lithuania took place on 2 October and focused on resourcefulness in rural entrepreneurship.

The session explored how entrepreneurs can recognise and make better use of the resources already available in their local environment. Participants looked at different types of resources, including natural, human, financial, cultural, and digital resources, and discussed how these can be transformed into business opportunities.

Special attention was given to the challenges often faced in rural areas, such as smaller local markets, limited infrastructure, distance from urban centres, and access to funding. Participants explored how creative thinking, digital tools, community networks, and available EU support can help overcome these challenges.

Through practical resource-mapping and reframing activities, participants were encouraged to identify overlooked local assets and consider how rural characteristics can become a competitive advantage rather than a limitation.

The training formed part of the DigiBoost project, which aims to strengthen digital and entrepreneurial skills and create new opportunities for rural communities.
