The Municipality of North Corfu, as the leading partner of the GreenMove project, is coordinating the 3rd European meeting in Croatia (hosted by Municipality of Podstrana) on Sustainable Tourism and Mobility

The European GreenMove Program, part of the European Union’s Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) program, is holding its third European meeting in the Adriatic. The meeting, hosted by the Municipality of Podstrana in Croatia, will bring together the 17 partners of the consortium. The aim is to explore the relationship between sustainable tourism and mobility in rural areas.

The meeting will address the topic: “Sustainable tourism and mobility in rural areas: Environmentally friendly transport options.”

Objectives and Outlook of the 3rd Meeting

The GreenMove consortium is a joint effort for sustainability, bringing together 17 organizations from 16 countries across Europe. From the Mediterranean to the Baltic and from Southeast to Central Europe, this diverse network acts as a dynamic hub for the exchange of knowledge, innovative practices, and expertise in the field of sustainable mobility.

The main objective of the project is to strengthen dialogue between public authorities, civil society organizations, and international actors in order to improve mobility, reduce pollution, and promote sustainable development in rural and coastal areas.

The 3rd Pan-European meeting in the Municipality of Podstrana

The current event will focus on the emergence of rural tourism and its requirements for sustainable transport solutions. The program includes:

Workshop: Will explore the theme “Sustainable tourism and mobility in rural areas: environmentally friendly transport options,” focusing on the needs of different demographic groups in rural and coastal areas.

Conference: Under the title “Promoting citizen participation in European, local, regional, and national issues such as ecological footprint, zero emissions, social cohesion, sustainability, and resilience,” the discussion will bring together distinguished executives and stakeholders for a holistic approach to these issues.
